Hello, everyone!! It's officially a new year and I am so excited for 2014! I don't know what this is but I have a feeling that this year is going to be FABULOUS. Now, I guess most of you may or may not have made New Year's resolutions. At least, I did.
Usually, I have a picture perfect goals and resolutions on January the first and maybe till January 8th, but I'm so bad at keeping those new year's resolutions and what happen is, I never be able to actually keep them throughout the year, and that is because, I think that my will is not strong enough to actually face those resolutions.
This year, 2014, I challenge myself. I'm in my life stage where I have to decide what to do with my life after I graduate from school, and how to be an independent woman. I do believe that this year, 2014, is a very important year to me, and I have to be careful at the same time I have to have courage and strong will to achieve my goals.
Why I'm saying this?
I was kind of avoiding to face my problem and just left it and pretended that I saw nothing. Past years, I just let those problems as they were, and I didn't really do anything about it, even though, I had in my mind, I knew I needed to move foreword and change something. More specifically, like I said, to decide what I want to do after I graduate from school, and what I want to be.
Anyway, my point is that it's a new start. Each person has different problems and so has different goals, but we all have "a new start." I always keep in mind, "Past is past. Learn from it, but never look back and stay there too long because you'll get lost where you are."
So to start my new year, I made my new year's resolutions and I'd like to share with you whether or not you're interested in this random girl's new year's resolutions :)
First of all, as you can see above, I want to have fun! There are so many things that I'm worried about and I won't be able to enjoy every single moment but I try not to be too serious about those issues which I tend to be.
I challenge myself. I think it's the most difficult thing for me to do because I tend to give myself a easier choice. I think that challenging myself is a great way to be a better version of myself. Are you doing your best? Are you sure you want to take a short cut? Are you sure you want to take an easy one? I'll ask myself and challenge myself.
Next is a quote that I found on Michelle Phan's Facebook post. I more say, "Oh, I can't…" than "I can." I think everyone has an ability to do things that seem impossible and difficult at first. And to follow with that, it's time to turn my dreams into plans. I always dream, "I want to be… I wish I could…. I hope….." and now I have to specify them and actually try to achieve my dream.
Less procrastinate. I repeat, "less" procrastinate. I don't think I can completely stop being a procrastinator so I just lower the level. :P
I know that next one sounds super cheesy and stupid but I want to find love. To find love is hard. Some people are lucky enough to find multiple loves but some people aren't. I found this extremely difficult and sometimes I feel like I'm a crap which I shouldn't. I'm not going to detail on this but I think it's time for me to find love and to love someone and share a piece of my life with somebody. I'm deadly serious on this. I'm going to use my GPS or whatever to find my love ;)
Don't give up on anything. This one is kind of like a very classic one to me but I sometimes give up on things and I regret it so badly. I hate to regret something because I didn't continue doing. So never give up.
And last but not least, save/earn money, to go abroad. Past three years, I knew I wanted to go abroad in the future. I studied abroad in the US for a year and this experience made me realize that I love foreign countries. Not sure which countries to visit, but I will travel and experience more. And so I need to save money! Fingers crossed!!!
Like I mentioned above, my passion and motivation tend to go down after "new year," and some of you may experience the same thing, so I'm going to give you some little tips to keep your motivation. This is based on my past experience and it tends to work!

So here is my shitty drawing of my motivation diagram. |
As you can tell, I'm already on the stage that my motivation is going to go down. lol And do avoid that, here are some tips.
Having a clear vision would help you motivate yourself constantly. Also, writing down what you're thinking or what you want/need to do will help you realize your current situation and clear up your thoughts and worries. It really helped me in the past!
Some of my friends say I'm very positive but to be honest, I'm VERY negative. Well, maybe I'm positive but once my negative switch is on, it's all about negative, negative, negative and I get so anxious and do nothing but saying negative things, sometimes cry and experience a serious depression. When it's bad, I have zero motivation to do anything and I just become the worst version of me. Some people are very good at staying positive, and I always try to learn something from them. Anyway, I'll try to be positive, think positive and when it's hard, I'll just ask someone some help :)
Lastly, time management and be on track. As we grow older, I think that we more realize that time management is important. I sometimes waste my time of doing things that I shouldn't do or doing nothing but being lazy. I often fail to see my priority. If you know how to manage your time, then you can be on track and you'll have less chance of wasting your time. Yet I think that being lazy or just to chill out is not always bad, it's all about how you manage your time. It's okay if you spend your 15 minutes (or more. lol) to watch YouTube or to take a nap or whatever. Just remember to be on track :) We all have same amount of time, now it's how you use it.
So that is everything and I really hope you enjoyed it! It was fun making my new year's resolutions, and posting this on my blog makes me take these more seriously! haha
