March Favorites 2014 ♡

Hello, everyone :) How's it going? I feel like spring has finally come here in Japan. Cherry blossom is blooming and so beautiful here. How is it like where you are? Spring is one of my favorite seasons and I am so excited for what spring will bring to my life.

Today, since March is so over, I am sharing my March Favorites. I don't have lots of favorites this month because I didn't try out a lot of new products but here are some of my favorite items and I hope you enjoy it!

I've been loving the NIVEA cream so much. (NIVEA CREAM ニベア クリーム 60g) How do I use it? Actually, I use it as a serum for my eyebrows and my eyelashes. My friend told me that NIVEA helps them grow faster and protect them from damaging. So I was like... I'll try it! Because I do wear my mascara almost every single day and my eyelashes tend to damage a lot and I found it hard to protect them without any care. Same thing for my brows. I don't know since WHEN my eyebrows look so miserable. I don't do anything for my eyebrows except trimming a bit sometimes, but other than that, I don't shave or anything. Back when I was in high school, I rarely wore makeup so it was okay to have nothing on my eyebrows but now, I feel a bit awkward to see my eyebrows without filling them out. I mush prefer my eyebrows to be thick and hairy if that's the word for it. Anyway, I don't want them to look sparse. So what I do is, I apple the cream to my eyebrows and my eyelashes before I go to bed, if I'm having a no makeup day, I also apply it after I wash my face. I do not recommend using it if you're wearing makeup because it tends to get a bit oily and might slip and slides on your face, which you probably don't want. I've been trying out for about a month now and I definitely say that it's working. I can see that my eyebrows and eyelashes are thicker and look healthier than before, and even when I wear mascara all the time, it tends to recover and reform faster whilst I'm asleep, and so when I apply my makeup in the morning, it's much easier to apply. You can totally invest on high-end serum but you don't have to, really! I actually prefer using this cream than using Vaseline which I used to. Highly recommend.

NARS stick concealer (in custard) has been doing a great job on my face since last month (NARS Concealer Stick in Custard). I really love their creamy concealer but I wanted something a bit more thicker and something that stays in place. I have a spot/ freckle on my face since I was little and it's getting a bit darker recently. So I've been treating it with good skin care like the whitening serum but I still needed to cover up. It's actually very light and even lighter than the NARS creamy concealer which I was surprised. Creamy concealer definitely has more coverage. However, I really like this stick concealer to put on to the area where I have a bit of discoloration and some spots. So I like to use creamy concealer for brightening my dark circles and covering up larger areas, and I use stick concealer for more on the spot and some limited area. Also, it's convenient to carry in my makeup back since it's so small. I like it.

Clinique Even Better Skin Tone Lotion SPF 20. (Clinique EVEN BETTER Skin Tone Correcting Lotion ) This is a good stuff ladies and gentleman. Since last spring, I've been suffering from some redness on my skin and I ran into this lotion at my Clinique! I didn't trust this product but after I used it for about a month, I could see that my skin tone is a lot more better (hence the name of the product). I had less redness overall and my skin tone got even better. I usually use it in a day time especially because it has SPF 20 which is amazing. So I apply it before I put my makeup on. You may find it a bit greasy but if you wait and let it set for a bit, not a big problem, and you can always use primer. I highly recommend. If you try this lotion, I advise you to use it at lease for 3 weeks or more so that you may be able to see the good result! Don't hurry the result.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 130 Shell. I rediscovered it in my makeup collection and I've been loving it! I like the coverage, it's not full coverage but it gets the job done. I heard some people say that this is a dupe for YSL Touch Éclat Foundation and yeah…. I think you can say that, but I think YSL one is a bit more oily (not in a bad way at all!). I think they have very similar coverage. It also has SPF 20 which I think it's pretty good for drug store foundation. I like how it melt into my skin after several hours of wearing it. It looks very very natural on skin and literally "nearly naked." The only down side to me is the smell. It doesn't smell that funky I think but I'm not a fan of this kind of scent. Scent-wise, I prefer the YSL foundation. But I highly recommend this to those of you who prefer natural looking coverage.

Koh Gen Do powder foundation. When I first got it, I didn't like it at all. I did nothing on my skin and made my skin look oily throughout the day. However, recently I decided to give it a go again and I really like it! I like to wear it with the Revlon Nearly Naked which I just mentioned above. I think they set nicely together and I barely need touch up throughout the day. I sometimes reapply it around my nose because that's where it tends to look oily throughout the day. The powder is finely milled and it's very silky on my skin. It reflects the light in a very good way because of that finely milled powder. It has natural ingredients compared to other foundations that have more chemical ingredients, and it doesn't break out my skin. I have seen Koh Gen Do products at Sephora before so I think it's not that hard to find them in America but I don't know the rest. Have you seen their products in UK or any other area? Please let me know!

Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner in Black. I LOVE this eyeliner. It's very black, it stays all day, never smudge, it has thin tip so it's easy to "wing" it out. I was quite disappointed to the one that I was using before so I'm glad I found this. Please let me know if you'd like to see a full review on this product.

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Black. I was using the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner before and  I really liked it a lot but it dried out pretty quickly so I'm not using it anymore. And I was looking for a new gel eyeliner for cheaper price because about $30 for the Bobbi Brown one was way to much for me, doesn't worth to be honest, and the fact that it dried out so fast didn't motivate me to buy another jar of it. In Japan, we only have black and brown but I know there are so many color choices out there so definitely try out if you're looking for a good gel eyeliner that doesn't smudge, stays all day, and not very expensive. Also, mine came with a little brush that actually is not that bad. I don't know if that was a special offer or something but I liked it.

NARS nail polish in Union Libre. I don't remember if I mentioned this nail polish before in my blog but I love this color so much. It's a bright pink color which is perfect for spring and summer. I just love it.

ZOYA nail polish in Wednesday. (ZOYA nail polish in TOBEY) It's like a creamy tiffany (wednesday type of) blue color and it's so lovely. The color actually reminds me of Wednesday for some reason. So hands down for a person who named this nail polish!

And last but not least, this book. I've been reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and IT IS SO GOOD. I actually haven't finished it yet but I like it so much already. I know I'm kind of late on trend and I know that everyone is raving about this book but I had to mention it. This book (so far) made me smile, cry a bit in a pubic place whilst I was reading. Have you read this before? Did you like it? Let me know in the comment!
