May Favorites 2014 ♡

Hello, beautiful people! Today, I'm going to show you my May Favorites ♡ So, May was something. Not only because it's my birthday month but also it's my friends' birthday month. Also, I really liked the weather in May as well as the springy atmosphere that I saw everywhere. Anyway, let's just jump right in :)

I really enjoyed using this cream eyeshadow from Shu Uemura. It's in the color P Beige. It's actually one of my birthday gifts from my friend :) I had never tried this before so obviously I was so excited to try. So thank you friend! It's like a soft shimmery pink with a slight peachiness to it. It's one of those go with anything type of color. It's quite sheer and subtle so you won't get like super pigmented color out of it but it's going to create a nice base before you put eyeshadows. It stays a long time, no creasing on my eyes. If I'm having like a super lazy day and want to wear minimum amount of makeup, I just used this to brighten up my eyes a little bit.

DIOR highlighter from their Transat Collection is on of the best things that happened in the month of May. It's so beautiful! It's like a golden peachy slightly bronzy shimmery color and it looks so pretty on cheekbones as well as eyebrow bones and the inner corner of the eyes. I'll soon do a blog post about Dior Transat Collection so stay tuned for more pictures and reviews <3 But seriously, if you can get your hands on this, do it.

DIOR single eyeshadow in Pavillon from the Transat Collection wins on my eyes this month. It's a peachy shimmery color and I love it so much. It reminds me of MAC All That Glitters. I really enjoyed using this all over the lid for a nice summery simple look. I'm a bit worried that I would run out of it too soon! :P

A shimmery peachy pink with gold is always right on blush. I loved this blush from Bourjois. It's in the color Rose Doll. It reminds me so much of Orgasm from NARS. It's very subtle and easy to apply and looks good on any makeup look.
*For those of you who live in Japan, Bourjois is NOT going to be available in Japan soon so if you can find the Bourjois stands near you, I highly recommend to get this!

Tanya Burr lipgloss in Exotic Island was the most worn lipgloss this month. I've been obsessed with this like deep purply fuchsia type of pink recently. It's a nice pop of color onto your lips and easy way to glam it out your makeup look. THE only thing I hated was that whenever I was wearing lipgloss, the wind decided to blow so strong and girls, you know how annoying it is… that moment when your hair is on your lips… yeah. Nothing to do with this lipgloss but I just wanted to share my experience! haha

Another Dior favorite here. I got a sample of their Diorskin Forever foundation and I fell in love. I never thought of trying a foundation from Dior so it was a bit surprise. It's definitely a full coverage. I have combination skin and this foundation didn't get dry on my skin and didn't make it look oily as well. It stays all day with the look you see when you apply it in the morning. It has SPF 25, PA+++ which is quite good for foundation. I'll definitely get a full size one once I used this up!

I forgot to include this in the photo but Diorskin Forever Extreme Control face powder, which I also got as a sample, was also my favorite. It was the best powder I've ever tried. It keeps my face matte/not too matte all day and barely needed a touch up. It's definitely going to be my next wish list <3

NARS lipstick in Schiap is a very pretty bright deep pink color. I never thought of getting this kind of bright pink but I feel in love. The lady at the NARS counter was wearing it and I was like "WHAT ARE YOU WEARING" with my eyes wide open because it looked so pretty on her. It reminds me of tulips for some reason. It's matte finish and it stays on your lips all day. You can put a little bit and blend it with your finger to create a more subtle look, or you can apply some layers and make it super bold and bright. I like it so much!! Definitely going to wear it in the summer.

Next, is actually some rings from LOUUN. I love the delicate design and the texture of her rings. I absolutely lover her design. I wear them so much that the colors are kind of washed out a little bit but I still love them the way they look. I have a couple of more from her shop but these three are the most worn this month. I especially love the triangle one :)

Last but not least, Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque with Amazonian White Clay from Kiehl's is my favorite skin care item in the month of May. My skin was looking dull and had clogging pores issue and so I needed some pore cleansing, especially my chin area. So I went to Kiehl's and asked them for the sample first. The lady told me that the breakouts around your chin area happens when you are stressed out. And I was like "Yes, that's for sure the reason." I tried it once and my skin loved it so much! It says "Intensively purifies to minimize pores" and it does exactly what it says. When I apply it on my face, I definitely feel that the clay is doing the job. It feels a bit tight and warm. I think it's because the clay is going deep into your pores and catches those dirts. I wash it out with some warm water once it's completely dried and it feels so refresh. I highly recommend to get this to prep for the summer when your pores open because it's hot and sweaty! And you are going to apply more sunscreen and powder which may cause clogging pores, so you'll need something that will deep cleans your pores.

So that is everything for my May Favorites and I really hope you enjoyed it! Please do let me know what was your favorite in May in the comment down below! :)
