Hello, everyone! It's been a while since I did my last monthly favorite blog post. Because I didn't do my September Favorites. But anyway here is my September and October Favorite combined together :) Since I didn't really try out new products in September because I was just so busy and time had passed unexpectedly fast, so I thought it was a bit pointless to do the September Favorites.
Anyway enjoy!
The first product I really have been enjoying is this face toner called G-Lotion by a Japanese cosmetic/skincare company called HABA. I was using the Rose toner from NUXE and it was my favorite, although the price wasn't my favorite. I don't know if they are in Europe but NUXE products are quite pricy in Japan. So I figured it's time to find my new buddy. This G-Lotion is very light and it almost looks and feels like water but it's moisturizing. I recommend to use a cotton pad to apply it because it's quite watery so that it's easier for me to use a cotton pad. G-Lotion has lots of minerals such as mineral from deep seawater and from see weed called algae colloid. It also contains hyaluronic acid in it which helps moisturizing your skin. The texture of this toner is very refreshing so I highly recommend it to those of you who have oily skin. I have combination skin and my skin condition changes a lot but this toner works very nice on my skin. I have less irritation and breakouts on my skin after I started using G-Lotion. I had never heard of this brand before but HABA products are very gentle on skin and their products do not contain any weird chemicals in them. I don't know if HABA is available outside of Japan but if you can get your hands on them, I highly suggest you try them :) Also, if you really really want to try out this product, please let me know in the comment of message me privately ;)
WoodWick Candle in Warm Wood nailed it this month. Holy moly it smells so good! I am a huge fan of musky, spicy and woody scents and this smells exactly what I want. It slightly reminds me of a scents of Abercrombie & Fitch perfume in a sense that it is very sexy and woody. Also, another thing about this candle is that it sounds like a little fire place when it's burning because of its unique wick (hence the brand's name!). It is so cozy and lovely. I think it's an amazing idea and when it's burning, it just feels and sounds right. I absolutely love this candle.
DIOR Forever foundation really has been amazing. I actually tried the sample of it a couple of times and loved it but I didn't buy the products because it's quite pricy and I wasn't sure which color I would get. They only had the sample in the shade 20 so I tried it but it was way too pink on my skin. But the formula and the finish was just perfect and I couldn't give up. So I tried the shade 21 and it was way too yellow/gold! Oh man… but like I said, this foundation is so super good so I decided to go for it. I went for 21 because my skin is warm toned and more gold than pink so I figured I can blend blend blend and work with it. It's full coverage and satin finish, I would say. Not necessarily dewy or matte. I absolutely love the finish of it. I don't need many touch up throughout the day and my skin looks flawless. I highly recommend this to almost everyone out there. The only down side is that the bottle is quite heavy so it's not very convenient for traveling. I usually put it in a little container and bring it with me on my trip.
This red nailplolish by Estée Lauder is a perfect true red. Totally reminds me of Miss Taylor Swift if you ask me. It's in the color Le Smoking. This one is the tiniest mini size nail polish that I got but I absolutely loved using it. The formula is very lovely. Not too sheer but not too pigmented or clumpy. The brush is great as well. Very easy to apply.
I would love to try more nail polishes from Estée Lauder.
Liquid eyeliner by Dolly Wink has been my favorite in my makeup bag. This is my second one that I bought. What I like about it is that it last a long time and it is very black. I hate when my black liquid eyeliner decided to smudge in the middle of the day and end up looking like a monster. This one does not smudge easily. I would say it is a great alternative for Stila liquid eyeliner. It's not available in Japan so I use this as an alternative. The brush tip is very precised and easy to apply. If you want to create a nice cat eye look, this is a nice one for you. I use it daily and I love it so much. I highly recommend it.
Rocketeur blush is such a nice color for this time of the year. It's like a nice muted rosy pink color with a slight brown tone to it. It's very smooth and easy to apply. Also, the shimmer gives a nice glowy effect without making my face "too much". It looks very natural on the skin and it's almost like that natural flush on the cheek.
Instant Light Neutral Lip Perfecter in 06 by Clarins was a accidental find at the duty free at the airport. I wasn't very interested in Clarins products but I heard so many good things about their lip products so I decided to give it a go. And it was a right decision. First of all, it smells wonderfully great. It smells like cookies and tastes like cookies. Love that. When I was on the road trip in Norway, I was applying it in our car and my friend noticed the scent and said "It smells nice. Anyone eating sweets?" I was like "ahahahahhh I guess that's me!" It's a good sign when my friends notice the scent of my lip balm. Second of all, it's amazingly moisturizing. But it doesn't make my lips like I-literally-put-oil-finish. It looks very natural and pretty. I want to try more colors.
Last but not least, this lip stein by Sephora in 01 Always Red is a perfect traditional red. It's completely matte finish yet it doesn't dry out your lips. It doesn't feel anything like I'm wearing lip stein or lipstick when I'm wearing it. It feels very light but it looks and stays perfect all day. I ate food with this lipstick on, I had some drinks, and it was still ON. I was actually wearing it on my friend's wedding day but seriously, it did an amazing job. I didn't have to touch up. I just had to fix a tiny bit on the edge after the dinner. I recommend this lip stein to everybody out there because it certainly is a must-have red.
So that is everything for my September & October Favorites. I don't have many products considering it's for two months but I did really enjoy these products for the last two months so I thin that counts. :)
I really hope you enjoy it and find it helpful for your future shopping list <3
Thank you so much for reading, and I'll see you next time.
Much love,
