Best Beauty Products of 2014
Hello, beautiful people! How are you all doing? I cannot believe 2014 is coming to an end. 2014 was a great year. Both good things and not-so-good things happened but overall, I tried to stay positive and enjoyed every moment to the fullest.
2014 was so fast that I couldn't grasp what was happening, but I got some best beauty products that I enjoyed in 2014 to share them with you. In stead of doing my monthly favorites, I have decided to share my favorites of 2014. Most of the products are already introduced in my previous blog posts but I hope you enjoy it.

-Skin care-
HABA facial toner was a new find for me. I was using the NUXE rose toner but it was more on the pricy side and so I decided to try out something new. It's very light and simple. It clear out your skin after wash and moisturize but doesn't make your skin oily. If you have sensitive skin, oily skin, or combination skin, I highly recommend this.
NUXE rose toner is and was my favorite toner of all time. However, NUXE products are quite expensive in Japan. I really love the scent when I use it and it moisturize and calm my skin like a magic. I recommend this toner to everyone out there.
Kiehl's midnight recovery concentrate is a miracle product. PLEASE try this if you haven't! I am begging you. lol When you have a bad skin day or when your skin seems to stressed out, just put this on your skin before going to bed and on the next day, your skin looks amazing and you can see it recovered from tiredness. I cannot live without this product.
NIVEA sunscreen is and was my must-have in my makeup bag this year. I never go out without putting sunscreen. I always put some kind of sunscreen before I do my foundation but I really don't like the sunscreen that turns out to be greasy or oily through out the day and ruins my makeup at the end of the day. This NIVEA sunscreen is very moisturizing but it doesn't make your skin look shiny or oily. This is going to be in my makeup bad in 2015 for sure. -Makeup-
Bourjois Health Mix foundation I really enjoyed using this foundation especially in the colder months when my skin gets dry. It is very light but it still has a nice natural coverage. The great thing about this foundation is that it doesn't breakout my skin. The bottle is light so it was great when I was traveling as well. Also, I am pretty sure this was in my 2013 favorites blog post!
CHANEL Vitalumiere foundation in B20 This is another foundation that I used a lot this year. I saw Missglamorazz, FleurDeForce, Tanya Burr, and so many beauty blogger/vlogger use this foundation and it looked so good on them so I had to try it. It's really light to the point you feel like you're not wearing anything on your skin, yet it has a great coverage. The packaging is very light and travel friendly as well. It's small so it fits into my makeup bag perfectly.
DIOR Forever powder foundation It is THE best powder that I have ever tried. Especially in the summer time, I look for foundation that keeps my skin stay matte all day. This powder foundation has a great coverage and it makes your skin looks perfect on its own or on the top of liquid foundation. The only downside is that they do not have a perfect color match to my skin tone. I am currently using B20 but it is a bit too dark on my skin. But other than that, it is a perfect foundation ever.
NARS Light Reflecting Power This powder always stay in my makeup collection. I never go out anywhere without putting this powder. It really sets the makeup all day and make it look perfect. When I am not wearing any foundation, I just put some sunscreen and set it with this powder and my skin look flawless. I recommend this powder to everyone out there. Same as Bourjois foundation, this was also in my 2013 favorites blog post.
Tom Ford cream eyeshadow in Spice This was a quite recent discovery but it has been my favorite since I got it. It is the most perfect bronze color that you could ever ask for. I prefer to use powder eyeshadow over the top of it but it looks so beautiful and gorgeous on its own. The formula is very creamy and easy to apply. I can almost say that the color is in the same family as Maybelline color tattoo in Bad to the Bronze but Tom Ford one wins, formula wise. Anastasia brow powder Honestly, I did not use any other eyebrow powder for like 2 years now. I absolutely love this brow powder so much. I found this when I was in America and this is my second one. It doesn't fade out through out the day and it looks natural as well. It would be a miracle if I'll be able to find a better eyebrow powder than this one.
Laura Mercier Bronzer in 03 I first thought this could be my alternative for my NARS Laguna bronzer but this bronzer is a lot more reddish brown. I hated it first because it kind of made my skin look orangy. However, as I kept using it, I started to like its warm toned finish, especially in fall and winter. It kind of doubles as a blush and it looks very gorgeous. I wear bronzy eye look a lot and it goes very well with that as well. The pigmentation is very good and the powder is very silky and soft.
NARS eyeshadow in FEZ I found this eyeshadow in my Narssisist palette. I didn't really like the Narssisit palette as many bloggers claim that the quality is not good. I agree. However, this particular eyeshadow in the palette seemed to be great as I swatched. This rich reddish brown color is great as all over the lid color or as a crease color. It is similar to Lola Lola but this one is less reddish and more bronzy.
Clarins Instant Light Neutral Lip Perfecter in 03 This lip perfecter changed my life. It is amazing. It feels amazing, it tastes amazing (tastes literally like cookies), and the color is amazing as well. It always stayed in my makeup bag since I got it. The color 03 is a perfect nude color that doesn't make your lips look dead. I'm keen to try more colors in 2015.
MAC lipstick in Rebel I get compliments pretty much every time I wear this lipstick. I love this color so much! It is a beautiful rich purple color and it is slightly vampy. You can apply a thin layer or you can really build it up and make it look quite vampy. It's satin finish. This lipstick is very long lasting and I don't need any touch up throughout the day (unless I eat some oily food!). If you want to try out some darker lipsticks, I highly recommend this one. Revlon lipstick in Black Cherry This is a very very very dark vampy lipstick. It's one of those lipsticks that you can feel strong and sexy almost, when you wear it. I also think that this is the lipstick that you either love it, or hate it. I personally love these kinds of colors. It's quite challenging to wear it but it is a very unique color and you can really rock your makeup with this lipstick. It is not drying at all and applies very smoothly. I really like to mix it with my MAC Diva lipstick. But on its own, it is a very gorgeous color.
NARS Lip pencil in Dragon Girl In case you didn't know, I love me some red lipsticks. I wear it all the time. I saw Miss Taylor Swift was holding this lip pencil in one of her pictures on her Instagram and I ran to NARS counter to find out which one it was. I love this bright, rich, true red color. It's like a fire red color. It is perfect on its own but I often use it as a lip liner underneath other red lipsticks as well. It is very matte and it stays all day. I have eaten food, had drinks, talked, everything and it was still perfect on my lips. (http://mayumi1992.blogspot.jp/2014/09/most-used-summer-beauty-items-2014.html)
-Nails-
Butter London Jack the Lad Gorgous rich forest green color with green, light green, and gold-ish shimmers in it. One of my favorite colors is green and I love wearing this color all year around, mainly in fall and winter. A dupe is Revlon's rainforest.
ZOYA Tobey I wore this a lot during spring and summer time. It is a gorgeous blue toned pink color. I never liked pink in my life but when it comes to nail polish, I adore every color possible. The formula is creamy and I love ZOYA polishes in general.
YSL Taupe Retro (in 21) If I had to pick one nail polish that I could have for the rest of my life, I would probably pick something from YSL. Love the packaging, love the brush, and I love the formula. This one is a gorgeous taupe color with a slight purply tone to it. I wore this on my friend's wedding day and it makes this nail polish a hundred times more special and unforgettable.
Sache Vite Top Coat I am always asked "Is this gel nails?" when I wear this top coat. It is that glossy and shiny. It makes any nail polishes underneath look perfect. The only down side of this top coat is that it gets really thick and clumpy after you use about half of it. I usually have to get a new one once I used up half of it since it gets too thick. But other than that, it is the best top coat ever.
So that is it! They were my best beauty products of 2014. Did you find anything interesting? I really hope you enjoyed it.
