Hello, beautiful people :)
How are you doing? It is finally getting actually cold in Japan and it feels kind of good to feel the chill on my skin. A couple of weeks ago, I found out that there was this festival in Tokyo that is all about Portland, America. In between Omotesando and Shibuya, at United Nations Univerity, they have farmer's market every weekends, and Portland festival was held in there. I have been having this really weird, yet passionate feelings for Portland and I've been craving to go there. I don't know why but Portland sounds so tempting to me. It seems like a very cool state with good cultures such as organic food, small local supportive community, coffee shops, and hippy. I love those kinds of things.
Anyways, I am going to share how the Portland festival was like and I hope you enjoy!
I just love that cow next to me… He wanted to be in the photo. Total photo bomb moment.
If I ever get married someday, I want to have a cool photo booth at my wedding after party. I think it is so cool!
"Columbia" reminds me so much of the city in Missouri where I studied abroad. It's called Columbia and it is right between Kansas City and St. Louis.
It is the best and the coziest tiny little town with cool people. CoMo, which is Columbia, Missouri, is a college town and so the city itself is full of young and talented people. I am so glad that I had an opportunity to study there.I think not many people "choose" to go there, especially Japanese people. Los Angeles is cool, New York is amazing, but Columbia is definitely a home to me, along with LA where I also studied for a little bit but CoMo is great.
It was funny when I was in CoMo, when people wear "Columbia" jackets because we were in Columbia… It is lovely and interesting when some completely different things happen to connect and to remind me of one of those things, if that makes sense. I even felt like I was back in CoMo for a second, but nope, I was at Portland Festival, in Japan.
Coffee, coffee and more coffee… Portland would be such a great place to explore for cool coffee shops!
